2 Fulle Menn" gives us an acoustic experience that guides the audience through the best songs by Jokke & Valentinerne in an entire evening filled with melancholy and songs everyone can sing along to.
There will be many stories this evening about Jokke's life, and lots of facts about how the songs were written and how they came to be!
The interpretations of Jokke's songs range from sing-alongs to melancholy, with a focus on Jokke's lyrics. Saxophone, mandolin, guitar and bass blend together in various interpretations of Jokkes & Valentine's songs. We reduce the tempo and volume to focus on the lyrics and poetry.
Jokke was truly a street poet. He was a man of good humor, if you understood him, and his creativity was unsurpassed, even if most of his lyrics were based on "roughly" his own life. Who would have thought that the lyrics of someone who was "a bit on the run" would actually mean so much to so many, and be so good that even the National Theater staged the production "Worthless Men" a bunch of times, and all the evenings were sold out. The play was written, among other things, by Jokke's brother, Christoffer, based on life in those days and the people around Jokke.
