Abisko Cultural walk
When we arrive in Abisko you have about one and a half hour to explore the area. You can enjoy a short walk directly from the train station, hiking in the beautiful National Park in your own tempo. The trails are clearly marked with different colours and is available all year. These trails takes you through the canyon,
“The shore”-Tronetrask, Sweden’s seventh largest lake,
The Bird Hill, overlooking the bird sanctuary,
and the Sami camp, a reconstruction of the Sami lifestyle in autumn and spring.
The different places are designed to make you see and learn something new about the area, culture, and nature. For best wheel-chair access follow the yellow marked trail.
Enjoy this great and picturesque walk to a picnic spot with benches and wheel-chair access fireplaces. In the Abisko Visitor centre you can get information about different guided tours in the area, buy souvenirs and a enjoy a cold or warm meal and beverages.
