Dog sledding - Exclusive tour for FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships
The trail goes through a rugged terrain, and among majestic mountains, where you can enjoy the silence of the wilderness and the beautiful surroundings.
Did you know that a well trained sled-dog can run 500 km in a couple of days? The distance from Paris to London! And after a break and some food, they will be ready to run the same distance back! Why? Well, sled-dogs are like that—they love running!
We start by spending some time learning to know the huskies, and the equipment, and there will be a lecture on how to drive the dogsleds. After receiving these instructions, you will start a majestic tour where you in pairs drive your own dog team with 4-6 dogs. The trail goes through a magical terrain, and among majestic mountains. The tour is led by a very knowledgeable tour guide with his own dog team.
The winter in the arctic is peculiar. Sometimes it’s quiet and starry. The forest is covered by ice crystals, and the nature is in hibernation. It rarely gets quite dark, as the Arctic light is upon us.
After the trip, we will enjoy snacks and hot drinks in the Lavvo.
