Midsummer Concert with Musikk i Nordland
This concert is a celebration of life and light surrounding the brightest day of the year, Midsummer Eve.
But the light comes at a price – the contrasting darkness of winter. Likewise, the program features beloved wedding marches (after all, what better celebration of light and love than a midsummer wedding?) surrounding its core pieces: Martinu, Schubert, and Kugel’s introspective reminders that even light carries a shadow.
The music will be further interpreted through intuitive painting by Heidi Mona Holm from Harstad Art Association and Brith Trude Rist from Narvik Art Association. Can we experience a connection between music and visual art?
Coffee and cake will be available for purchase.
Welcome to a concert experience that embraces both light and darkness – and everything in between.
