The audience is invited to listen to samples of energetic Scandinavian contemporary music, performed by Vokal Nord. It is all stitched together with small knowledge shares from brilliant research communicators of the highest class.
Vokal Nord is Norway's northernmost professional vocal ensemble, and is based in Tromsø. The ensemble has spent many years building its identity with a distinctive sound where they combine classical cork timbre with voice associated with ethnic music from the High North.
Vokal Nord places great emphasis on combining modern, Sami-inspired choral music and folk music from the north with contemporary music and other classical choral repertoire, something you will experience at this unique concert.
