Trine Rein presents: Queen of Soul - a tribute to Aretha Franklin

She tops the Rolling Stones' list of the world's 200 best singers in popular music over the past 100 years, has been awarded 20 Grammy awards, and has been one of the biggest inspirations for other singers across generations for 50 years. It is no coincidence that she was nicknamed "The Queen of Soul", and few artists deserve a tribute more than Aretha Franklin herself!

"It is with enormous respect and awe that I undertake this project," says a humble Trine Rein. “Franklin has inspired me for as long as I can remember, and in a wide range of genres within popular music. She has given me inspiration in both soul, funk, R&B, gospel and pop, and no matter what she has sung, she does it with such deep empathy that you cannot help but be touched."

This is how Trine Rein opens the news about her next project, namely a tribute to Aretha Franklin's life and music. The dream of collecting Franklin's career in a concert or performance has long been on the wish list. Few artists can match the vocal splendor of Trine Rein, and even fewer reach the qualities of The Queen of Soul. She also has guest artist Inger Lise Hope with her, who does not shy away from big, vocal performances, which she has so far shown through, among other things, her participation in this year's 'The Voice'. The video from her 'blind audition' went viral, and at the time of writing has been seen by over 7 million people around the world.

Self-written favorites include songs such as 'Respect', 'Think' and 'Natural Woman'. Although Trine Rein never got to experience her source of inspiration live in concert, their paths have strangely crossed on several occasions. Rein has many interesting stories to offer and the audience will get to know Aretha Franklin a little better during the evening.

We promise a packed concert performance where Aretha Franklin's hits are in focus, and top off the musical highlights with a local gospel choir on tunes
such as "Sisters Are Doin' It for Themselves" and others.
