Follow the Ofotbanen from Narvik and up towards the Swedish border, through steep mountainsides and a raw landscape characterized by railways, ore transport and war history.

The Ofot Line was built to transport iron ore from the mines in Sweden to the ice-free port of Narvik. Today, the train excursions provide a spectacular experience of both railway history and the wild mountain landscape through which the railway winds.

From Narvik, the line follows the mountainside over the Rombaksfjord and continues towards Bjørnfjell and the Swedish border. Along the way, the view opens up towards fjords, valleys, waterfalls and traces of the people who built and worked along the line.

Some tours combine the train journey with storytelling, stops or further activities. Program and availability vary with product and season.
