The churches in the Narvik region are both cultural monuments and meeting places. Here you will find traditional wooden churches and newer church buildings, several with a clear place in the history of the local communities.
Architecture, interiors and artistic details tell of different eras and building traditions. Many of the churches are also located close to the fjord, in the villages or with the mountains as a backdrop, and are natural stops on the journey through the region.
