Narvik Art Association hereby invites you to an exhibition by Nils Jøran Riedl. Opening Friday, August 14th at 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM Nils Jøran Riedl is a Norwegian theologian and visual artist. He is known through the media for his commitment to gay rights in the Norwegian Church. Riedl holds a cand.philol. from the University of Trondheim with an equivalence to a cand.theol from the University of Oslo. His art often explores the intersection between theology, spirituality and identity. At the exhibition “Out of the Silence” he will bring his images of portraits, people and human relationships, images that show different moods and expressions. As part of the exhibition and opening, Narvik Art Association also invites you to an open event at 6:00 PM, “Out of the Silence – When Art Opens the Difficult”. Through the combination of art, conversation and personal experiences, we focus on themes that many are familiar with, but few speak out about. Based on the exhibition, “VU Vasken” leads an open conversation about the role of art in meeting life experiences, vulnerability and being seen. Welcome to an important evening with space for reflection, presence and dialogue.
