Description

Beisfjordgubben is a peculiar rock formation in Beisfjord, on the south side of Beisfjorden in Narvik municipality. The shape makes the mountain reminiscent of a troll, and this has given the place a clear local character.

The trip is well suited for those who want a short and simple nature experience in the local area. From the parking lot, it is stated to be just under a kilometer to Beisfjordgubben, with a path all the way. The trip takes about 15-25 minutes one way.

The terrain is somewhat uneven, but the trip is described as suitable for both young and old. For the very youngest, some parties can be a bit demanding. Remember to dress according to the weather, and adapt the trip to the conditions.

Drive south from Narvik, turn off to Beisfjord. Follow Fjordveien past the cemetery and continue straight ahead down towards the cement factory. Follow the tractor road to the parking lot. From the parking lot, there is a path all the way to Beisfjordgubben.
