Description

Bjerkvik Strandpromenade is a local park and beach area along the Herjangsfjord. The area combines a beach, green area and seating, and provides a close encounter with the fjord in the middle of Bjerkvik.

The beach has fine, white sand on land and is very shallow, which makes the place popular with families with children. Out in the water, the surface can be more varied and rocky. There is no lifeguard on site, so all swimming is at your own risk.

The area has been developed through local volunteer efforts by the Bjerkvik Strandpromenade Association. The former parking lot has been converted into a nice park area with a lawn, flower beds, benches, tables and wooden decking facing the sea. Here it is arranged for both residents and visitors to use the promenade and the park area.

The location close to the E10, the city center and Bjerkvik hotel makes the area easy to find and easy to use.
