A Christmas That Warms

Next occasion
This summer, the basement of The Salvation Army in Narvik was severely affected by flooding. Large quantities of food that had been collected to support people in need were lost and had to be thrown away. Now, we want to lend a helping hand and support The Salvation Army in rebuilding its food supplies and continuing its important work in the local community.

Description

In December, we invite you to atmospheric Christmas concerts in both Narvik and Ballangen, where music, community and compassion will be at the heart of the experience. Admission to the concerts is free, and instead of an entrance fee, audiences are encouraged to make a voluntary contribution to The Salvation Army. Every contribution, large or small, can make a difference and help ensure that more people receive support when they need it most.

Performing on stage will be four local choirs: Balklang, Kor Arti, Sangvirkelaget and Ankeneskoret. The choirs will be conducted by Jurgita Juozuniene and Sigrid Gunnarsjaa Kråkenes.

These concerts will offer beautiful choral music, beloved Christmas songs and an opportunity for the community to come together in support of an important cause. By attending, you can enjoy a wonderful musical experience while helping The Salvation Army replenish its food supplies and continue helping people in need.

The local organiser is Norges Korforbund Nordre Nordland, and the producer is Marita Havaas Olsen.
