Description

Just 15 minutes from the center of Narvik , the Niia family invites you into their siida for a personal and authentic experience with Sami reindeer herding, culture and way of life.

One of the family's reindeer herders welcomes you into the lavvu, where you gather around the fire to learn about reindeer herding and the Sami way of life.

Then the tour continues to the reindeer, where you get to experience them up close in the enclosure.

Practical information

This trip is primarily for groups, and can therefore be cancelled if there are less than 10 registered on a trip.

If the tour is cancelled, you will receive a 100% refund for the booking.

Pick-up time : 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM

Pick-up points: Scandic Narvik, Quality Hotel Grand Royal and Narvik Harbour.

Duration: 2 hours including transportation.

Transport from Narvik city centre is included. Pick-up is available from Scandic Narvik, Quality Hotel Grand Royal, and Narvik Cruise Port. Other pick-up locations can be arranged by contacting the operator in advance.

Dress warmly and wear shoes that are appropriate for the conditions.
The experience takes place in the period October–April.
