Lilandsveten is a mountain hike in the cultural landscape at Liland in Evenes. The trip goes up to 351 meters above sea level and provides views of Liland, the archipelago, Bogen and the Ofotfjord.

Description

Lilandsveten is the highest point on Lilandsåsen and a hike with a good view in Evenes. The trail goes through Lilandsfjellet, with viewpoints, rest areas and landscapes that alternate between ridges, forests and cultural landscapes. The shortest hike goes from Eveneshallen (just west of Evenes school) and the hill up towards Stuslotte and further on a well-marked path to Veten. The path is somewhat steep, but dry and good uphill along the ridge. At the top, a view of Liland, the archipelago and the Ofotfjord awaits, with a bench, lean-to and exercise box. For a richer hiking experience, it is recommended to follow the path further past Veten on the return trip. Then you enter the signposted cultural trail that rounds Veten and follow old traffic arteries back to the starting point Stuslåtta. Along the round trip there are several benches, and along the cultural trail there is also a wooden lavvo and outdoor toilet.

The peak is located at 351 meters above sea level. The length of the trip is 2.7 km. Walking time to the top is about 1 hour. The recommended round trip is approx. 2 hours and 30 minutes. The trip is suitable for spring, summer and autumn. The tour is suitable for children and dogs. The path up the ridge from Evenes school is somewhat steep, but is described as dry and good. There are benches, shelters, wooden lavvos and outdoor toilets in the area around the route. You park right below EvenesHallen

The nearest starting point is at Evenes school in Liland. From the parking lot, walk up the hill west of Eveneshallen / Langbakken southwest of the school to the gate and notice board at Stuslåtta. From there, follow the signs further in the outfield towards Veten. For access by car, follow the E10 from Bogen towards Harstad/Narvik Airport at Evenes. Turn left onto Leirosveien at the bottom of the hill when the road starts to go up from the sea. It is stated that approx. 3.4 km from the junction to Liland Sports Association's clubhouse and approx. 4.4 km to Evenes school.
