Description

This expedition takes you into the wilderness areas of Dividalen in Målselv. The dog sleds are used to get far into the mountains and provide access to different starting points for ski trips in a remote winter landscape.

Through the expedition, you will be responsible for your own dog team and learn to harness, care for and cooperate with the dogs. On the transport days, the journey continues by dog sled between cabins and camp. On the ski days, the dog teams are used to reach the starting point for the day's summit trip, before the journey continues on skis in mountain terrain. The route and day program are adapted to the weather and snow conditions along the way.

The accommodation takes place mainly in mountain huts, with the possibility of tents to reach more remote areas. The landscape has been used by Sami reindeer herders for centuries, and along the way you can meet reindeer and see traces of both wildlife and people's use of the mountains.

This is an active expedition where dog sledding, skiing and life in the mountains are closely linked.

The cooperation with the dogs is an important part of the trip, while the flexible program provides the opportunity to make the best use of the weather and snow conditions.
