Description

Björkliden Ski Resort is located in Swedish Lapland, north of the Arctic Circle, with views of Lake Torneträsk and the iconic mountain Lapporten on the horizon. Here, skiing is characterized by plenty of space, a leisurely pace and proximity to the mountains. The resort is well suited for guests who want a relaxed skiing experience in the Arctic landscape, with nature as a clear part of their stay. The ski resort has 23 slopes and five lifts, with terrain for both beginners, families and more experienced skiers. Björkliden offers a great variety from family-friendly slopes and groomed trails to bare mountains and off-piste areas. The calm atmosphere and short lift queues mean that the focus can be on skiing, views and time together in the mountains. Björkliden is a natural center to enjoy the mountain life in Lapland. The area is also known as a base for ski touring, cross-country skiing and other winter activities, with proximity to Låktatjåkko Mountain Lodge and Trollsjön, also known as Rissájávri. The resort offers a wide range of accommodation, dining, après-ski, guided tours, ski rental and other winter experiences. Björkliden is part of Arctic Ski Resorts, along with Riksgränsen in Sweden and Narvikfjellet in Norway. With the Arctic Ski Pass, guests can experience three different Arctic ski destinations in one trip: Björkliden's calm and panoramic mountain environment, Riksgränsen's long season and freeride tradition, and Narvik's combination of fjord, city and alpine efforts towards the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2029.

Transport

Additional information

Travelling outside groomed areas, ski touring and off-piste requires experience, the right equipment and assessment of local conditions. Transfer with Arctic Skibus must be pre-booked for guaranteed space, and travel to Narvik requires an Arctic Ski Pass.
