Description

In Salangen, Salanga's caves are hidden in the landscape, shaped over thousands of years by water that has grinded its way through the rock.

The cave walk takes you into a natural underground world with trickling waters, dark passages and rock formations that give a real sense of exploration.

Together with a cave guide, the group moves through exciting surroundings where you both walk and climb over rock outcrops, through cavities and along natural passages. The guide leads the way, so that the experience takes place in controlled and safe forms.

The goal of the tour is the underground waterfall inside the cave system. Before departure to the caves, the necessary safety equipment is adapted at Fjellkysten Gjestehus.

After the walk, the group gathers outside, where snacks and drinks are served in the open air.

From Narvik Tourist Information: 60 km

From the center of Narvik, follow the E6 north towards Bjerkvik. In Bjerkvik, continue on the E6/E10 towards Tromsø. Follow the road towards Tennevoll, and then turn left onto Soløyveien. Follow Soløyveien for approx. 2 km until you reach Fjellkysten Gjestehus, Soløyveien 190.

The drive takes about 50 minutes from the center of Narvik.
