DNT Narvik works actively to inspire more people to experience the fantastic nature in the region. The organization's goal is for everyone, from beginners to experienced mountain hikers, to be able to travel safely and joyfully in the mountains. DNT Narvik is founded on volunteering, and a dedicated team of volunteers works to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.

Description

The association operates and maintains 15 cabins that are scattered in the beautiful mountains around Narvik. The cabins provide visitors with a safe and comfortable place to spend the night after a day of adventure. In addition to cabin management, DNT Narvik marks and maintains hiking trails and bridges.

DNT Narvik's tasks include construction, maintenance and operation of the association's cabins, as well as trail marking and bridge construction. In addition, the association arranges joint trips and spreads information about its offers to encourage more people to use nature in a positive way.

DNT Narvik welcomes everyone to join the trip. Through community and experiences in nature, memories are created that last a lifetime.

Practical information:

All cabins have wood for heating and gas stove for cooking. The cabins have all the kitchen utensils needed and cups, plates and cutlery for dining.
You must bring your own food.
All rubbish must be brought down from the mountain by the guest himself.
The toilets have toilet paper.
The beds have duvets and pillows. Guests must bring their own bed linen or sleeping bag.
It may be a good idea to bring your own matches.

- Remember to bring DNT's cabin key. There is a separate key to Stordsteinshytta and the Guardian's House.
