Description

Take the Lead – Drive Your Own Dog Sled!At Husky Isogaisa, you can experience this up close. Before we start, we provide you with thorough training in English on how to drive a dog sled yourself. This activity is specifically designed for guests to actively drive their own sled, not simply ride as passengers. The safety of both you and the dogs is our highest priority. You and your partner will be given a sled with 4–6 dogs, where one of you drives the sled and the other sits in the sled. Ready, set, go!Mid-Tour Break and Photo OpportunitiesHalfway through, we take a short break so the dogs can rest. Here, you’ll also have the opportunity to switch drivers and take pictures. The tour is led by an experienced guide with their own dog team, ensuring you have a safe and unforgettable experience. After the Tour – Meet Your New Four-Legged FriendsWhen the tour is over, we thank each dog for their effort – the huskies love it! You’ll feel like you’ve made a new, four-legged friend. Afterwards, we explain what it means to be involved in dog sledding and how we take care of the animals. After the adventure, we serve lunch wraps with smoked salmon, lingonberries, sour cream and warm drinks in a cosy, heated lavvu (Sámi tent).Practical InformationThe dog sledding trip lasts 30–60 minutes, and you will drive the sled yourself during the tour, switching with your partner if desired. To drive the sled, you must be able to run in the snow. If needed, we can also divide participants into two groups.Season1st of December – 30th of April depending on snow conditionsTime09:30 every day, and extra departures 14:30 on Tuesdays and ThursdaysDurationApprox. 2–3 hoursNumber of Participants2–15Price fromAdult NOK 2500 / Children (4–15) NOK 1495Meeting PlaceKvernmoveien 272, GratangenRequirementsBring warm winter clothing, boots, hats, and mittens.Included in the Price• Experienced guide in Norwegian and English• Thorough instruction on how to drive the sled• Dog sledding tour (you will drive the sled yourself)• Cuddling with the huskies after the tour• Wraps with smoked salmon, lingonberries, and sour cream served in a warm lavvu• Coffee/teaVegetarian and gluten-free food available on request.Do you need transfer?Contact for transfer booking:Hole`s taxiTlf    +47 48481399sms   +47 98489319email  [email protected] Husky Isogaisa i Gratangen 1560.- (pr. car, not person)Husky Isogaisa i Gratangen - Narvik  1560.- (pr. car, not person)The amount is paid directly to the taxi.Max number of passangers: 7Latest BookingBookings must be made online no later than 16:00 the day before departure.
