Experience Stetind

On this hike, we avoid the crowds by leaving the established trails and venturing into areas few people visit. We will admire the unique profile of Stetind and the fjords near Kjøpsvik from spots that are accessible without the need for climbing gear.During the hike, we will pick, cook, and eat local berries, mushrooms, and seasonal plants. Your guide will enrich your experience by sharing stories about the local Sámi culture and recounting adventures that climbers have had on Stetind over the past 150 years. We will also observe the progress of various climbing parties on different routes up Stetind.Price: Adults 2450NOK, Youth (12-15y) 1950 NOKTime: 09:00Duration: 8 hoursMeeting place: Adventure Hub Narvik (Dronningens gate 51)Included in the price:Transport between Narvik and Stetind (approximately 1,5 hours one way) and snacks are included in the price.Requirements:Although this hike largely takes us away from established trails, it is shorter and less challenging than the hike to Halls fortopp (Hall’s presummit), where the main established hiking trail ends and the climbing to Stetind begins. However, it is recommended that participants have some previous experience with mountain hiking on rugged trails. You will have to bring the following equipment:• Clothing that is suitable for being in the mountains in the summer (this should include rainproof outerwear). • Mountain boots or running shoes.• A backpack (minimum 15-20 liters) with space for clothing.• Sunglasses and sunscreen.• Food and drink.
