Description

Riksgränsen may look barren at first glance, but the summer landscape offers good opportunities for hiking between large rock surfaces and open high mountain plateaus. On this mountain hike, the guide will take you on one of his own favorite hikes in the area.

Riksgränsen is located in the high mountains on the border between Sweden and Norway. The surroundings consist of mountain lakes, trails and mountain peaks, and the landscape changes from more vegetated areas to open, rocky mountain surfaces. The trip gives you the opportunity to experience this terrain together with a guide who knows the hiking opportunities around Riksgränsen well.

The weather is a clear part of the mountain experience here. The area around Riksgränsen offers both a maritime climate from the Norwegian coast and an alpine mountain climate, which can provide rapid changes between sun, wind, rain and cooler conditions. Good clothing and extra layers in the backpack are therefore important even on summer days.
