Narvik War Museum tells the story of the Battle of Narvik in April 1940 and the five years of German occupation that followed. Here, you will gain insight into why Narvik became a strategically important target during the Second World War and how dramatic events in the fjord, the mountains, and the town had consequences far beyond the region.

Through original artefacts, interactive digital displays, texts, and photographs, the museum presents both the military events and the people affected by them.
