Rakkaskåtan

Rakkaskåtan offers a genuine dining experience in the middle of the mountains at Björkliden. When you enter the Nordic tipi from the fresh air outside, you are greeted by the warmth of the open fire, the scent of birch wood and a calm atmosphere where the meal and the community are at the center.

Here, guests sit close to the live fire, just as people have long gathered in the north. The flames cast light against the walls, and the rustic tipi creates a close and warm frame around the food. The flavors are rooted in the Arctic landscape, and at private dinners, the food is prepared by the in-house chef on site.

An important part of the experience is the contact with the sky above. Through the specially designed skylights, you can look up at the Arctic night sky while you eat. On clear winter evenings, stars and northern lights can show over the tipi, while summer brings long, bright evenings and midnight sun over the landscape. Such natural phenomena are weather and seasonal and cannot be guaranteed.

Rakkaskåtan is therefore more than a place to eat. Here, dinner is also about the warmth of the fire, the tranquility of the mountains and the fellowship that arises around the table. The experience has its own character throughout the year, from dark winter evenings to bright summer nights.
