Description

Narvik by Light is an atmospheric photo and video show that takes you through a year in the Narvik region's Arctic nature. Through pictures, film, sound and music, the landscape itself gets to tell the story of light, weather, seasons and silence in the north.

The performance follows nature photographer Michael Ulriksen's tracks through winter storms, blue hours, northern lights and polar nights. You are taken to the moment when the sun returns, before the journey continues into the new light of spring, the long days of summer under the midnight sun and the play of colours of autumn.

The setting for the experience is the venerable and protected Seamen's Church in the center of Narvik. Here you get a calm and visual entrance to Narvik's nature, with mountains, light and changing seasons as the main characters.

Since the performance is language-independent, guests can experience the visual narrative without the need for prior knowledge or common language.
