Welcome to a fun, exciting and educational day at Kjøpsvik Fire Station! We are opening our doors and inviting children, families and visitors of all ages to come and meet the local fire service and get a closer look at what life at a fire station is really like.

This is a great opportunity to explore the fire engines up close, learn more about the equipment used during emergency responses and meet our dedicated firefighters. Have you ever wondered what happens when the alarm goes off, what equipment is carried on a fire engine, or what it is like to work as a firefighter? Come and ask us – we would be happy to tell you more!

Children and families are especially welcome. There will also be a very special guest for the youngest visitors: Bjørnis will be at the fire station to welcome the children from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM.

Meet Bjørnis!
Bjørnis will be ready to meet the children from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM. Come by for a friendly greeting, a photo and a memorable experience with Norway’s popular firefighting bear!

Explore the fire engines and equipment
Take a closer look at our fire engines and the important equipment used by firefighters. Our firefighters will be happy to explain what the different tools are used for and how they help us respond when it matters most.

Meet the firefighters
Come and have a chat with our firefighters and get to know the people behind the uniforms. Both children and adults are welcome to ask questions and learn more about the fire service and everyday life at a fire station.

An open fire station is also a great opportunity to learn more about fire safety, prevention and emergency preparedness, while strengthening the connection between the fire service and the local community. We hope many of you will stop by and spend some time with us!
