Private Husky Tour on Wheels

Leave the crowds behind and join a completely private husky experience at our small family-run kennel in Målselv, approximately two hours from Narvik.

Begin by meeting our 35 friendly Alaskan huskies and learning about their personalities, training and everyday life at the farm. During the snow-free season, the dogs train with specially designed wheeled carts instead of sleds.

Your guide will provide a clear safety briefing and show you how the dogs are selected, prepared and harnessed. You will then head out with a team of 6–8 eager huskies. Drive the cart yourself, share the driving with another participant, or enjoy the journey as a passenger with your guide.
Follow quiet trails through the boreal forest, surrounded by mountains and Arctic landscapes. The route, pace and running time are always adapted to the weather, trail conditions and how the dogs are feeling that day. Their welfare always comes first.

No previous experience is required, and all necessary safety equipment is provided. We can also lend you boots, warm overalls, rain trousers, rain jackets, hats and gloves if needed.
After the run, return to the farm and gather around the fire or inside our log cabin for a warm Norwegian lunch, usually reindeer soup, together with hot drinks and snacks. Vegetarian, vegan and other dietary alternatives are available when requested in advance.

There will also be plenty of time to spend with the huskies and hear stories about our life with sled dogs.
The experience is exclusively for your own group, with a maximum of five guests.
For the welfare of the dogs, the tour only operates on suitable cool-weather days when temperatures are below 15°C. The route, timing or activity may be adapted if conditions require it.

Would you like to stay longer? Overnight accommodation at our husky farm may be added on request, subject to availability. Please contact us before booking if you would like to turn the experience into a longer stay.
