Description

At the science fair, visitors can meet researchers and explore different aspects of engineering research at UiT in Narvik. Activities will include demonstrations and experiments focusing on encryption, artificial intelligence and robots, as well as physics through the “Van der Graaf – Who do you trust?” experiment.

The event will also feature several interesting talks. The programme begins with a welcome from Bjarte Hoff, Vice Dean for Research and Education at UiT – Faculty of Engineering Science and Technology.

Jan-Arne Pettersen will then present “Technology Dependence in the Northwest Passage”, followed by Per-Arne Sundsbø’s talk, “Safe Infrastructure in an Arctic Climate”, using the Ofoten Railway as an example.

The event offers a unique opportunity to learn more about how research and technology can contribute to safe and sustainable solutions in the High North.
