A storytelling concert from Scene Nord’s Folkemusikk Nord department – about taking chances, travelling and finding a place to stay.

Nina Fjeldet is a woman in the prime of her life. Together with her fiddle, she travels through life, meeting people and stories along the way. Description

Along the way, freedom meets persecution, progress meets poverty, and fiddle music meets the joy of storytelling. Through music and stories, Nina brings people to the centre of the world – ordinary people doing their best in the circumstances they are given. Personal experiences meet historical events, creating a warm, powerful and thought-provoking performance. Nina Fjeldet has worked professionally with folk music and traditional dance for two decades, the last ten years based in Målselv. She enjoys sharing music with children and young people, loves playing for dancing, and has toured with the dance company Kartellet, the family production “Danse, sa fela!”, Landslaget for spelemenn and several other productions. “Ômvesla” is her first solo performance. The production was created by Riksscenen, with support from the Norwegian Arts Council.
