Welcome to Utmarkens grøde, Narvik Library’s own festival celebrating locally sourced and sustainable food. The festival brings together local producers, farmers, foragers, chefs and professionals for a day filled with flavours, knowledge and inspiration.

Description

Utmarkens grøde highlights locally produced food, sustainability and self-sufficiency. Farmers and foragers have the opportunity to showcase and sell their products, while chefs prepare and serve samples made with local ingredients. Visitors can also enjoy short and inspiring talks by knowledgeable professionals.

The festival is part of the public education project Maten vår – det er den vi lever av (“Our Food – It’s What We Live On”). In 2026, the project has a special focus on parents of young children and young adults, aiming to inspire good food choices and increase knowledge about healthy, locally sourced food.

The next festival will take place on Saturday, 10 October 2026 at Narvik Library.
