The cottage yard at Vestre Sagvatn (600 meters above sea level) in the idyllic Sagvassbotn consists of a main cabin on two floors with a surface area of 70 square meters, annex of 22 square meters and boathouse. The two cabins have beds for 20-25 people. The boathouse has a boat available. Salangens only open hut is owned and operated by Salangen Jeger og Fiskerforening. Vestre Sagvatn and Østre Sagvatn are rich in great char. Statskog is the landowner in the area, and a fishing license is required to fish. The ski conditions in the area are incredibly good for both short and long trips. It is marked trail to the cottage yard over the mountain from Baklia, which is the easiest trail. The distance is just over 8 kilometers. We calculate the hike over the mountain to take between 2 and 4 hours, depending on the shape and age of the hikers.
