Description
In Björkliden, you can play golf in a landscape where mountains, lake views and Arctic light frame the entire experience. The course is located 250 kilometres north of the Arctic Circle and is described by Björkliden as one of Sweden’s most beautiful golf courses, with support from Svensk Golf magazine.
The golf course has nine holes with clear elevation changes, narrow sections, water hazards, mountain birch and views that follow you throughout the round. Several holes are named after the surrounding landscape, such as Torneträsk, Lapporten and Silver Falls, giving the game a strong connection to the area.
Here, the golf experience is as much about the place as it is about the score. From the highest points, the views open towards Abisko and Lapporten, while the ore trains along Torneträsk remind you of the region’s railway history. The mountain wind, light and terrain make every round feel alive and slightly different.
