Lars Bremnes - Big Songs in a Small Language
Description
Over many years, Lars Bremnes has collected songs that resonate deeply with him—songs whose melodies and lyrics have become part of his own artistic journey. In this performance, audiences will hear his personal reinterpretations of classics such as “All Of Me” and “All The Things You Are,” alongside surprising adaptations of more contemporary works, including Taylor Swift’s “Seven,” reimagined in Northern Norwegian dialect as “Sju.”
Working closely with director Ivar Tindberg and musicians Bernt Rune Stray and Anders Engen, Bremnes has created a poetic musical space where tradition meets the present day. The result is an intimate and elegant concert experience that highlights the timeless qualities of these songs while giving them a unique Northern Norwegian voice. Featuring selections from the EP as well as a carefully chosen collection of additional songs, this performance is perfectly suited to the reflective atmosphere of the autumn season.
