Lunch Consert: Seim, Lund and Lindberg // Vinterfestuka 2026

Scene Nord musicians Kristian Lindberg and Håvard Lund invite jazz musician Trygve Seim into a meeting with well-known jewels from the classical repertoire!

Compositions by Erik Satie, Modest Mussorgsky, and Béla Bartók, to name just a few, will be performed in this concert. Throughout jazz’s more than 100-year history, many of its greatest musicians have shown a deep love for the much older classical music tradition. Big band leader Duke Ellington, for example, created his own Peer Gynt suite based on music by Edvard Grieg, while pianist Keith Jarrett drew extensive inspiration from Johann Sebastian Bach, and the recently deceased jazz musician and producer Quincy Jones even studied classical composition in Paris.
