The Norwegian Touring Theatre: Crisis, Chaos & Catastrophe
Description
The story takes place on a Monday morning in a classroom somewhere. Five students and a teacher are gathered to retake a Norwegian exam, where the task is to answer the question: “What will your life look like in twenty years?” But how do you answer that when you can barely predict what next week will bring?
The discussion among the students quickly escalates. They begin questioning everything from grades and future prospects to more extreme scenarios: What if a black hole swallows the Earth? What if Jesus rises from the dead? Or what if the planet simply burns away?
As the conversation intensifies, they barely notice the warning sirens sounding outside the classroom. Reality and imagination start to blur, and the boundaries between what is possible and impossible gradually dissolve.
“Crisis, Chaos & Catastrophe” is written by emerging playwright Amar Jašarević and directed by the acclaimed Farnaz Arbabi. It is a playful, sharp, and thought-provoking exploration of a world in flux.
