Open Meeting and Lecture on Stroke – with Marita Lysstad Bjerke

på Narvik Library
LHL Narvik warmly invites you to an open meeting and lecture with Marita Lysstad Bjerke, stroke nurse and health advisor at LHL. Stroke affects around 12,000 people in Norway each year, which equals approximately 35 cases daily. Experiencing a stroke can have significant consequences, not only for the person affected but also for their family and close ones.

The lecture will begin by explaining what a stroke is and the physical and psychological challenges it can bring. It will then focus on the “invisible” consequences of stroke, which are often the hardest to live with. Attendees will gain insight into how both stroke survivors and their relatives can cope with these challenges, and what can be done to foster understanding and acceptance in everyday life.

Welcome to Narvik Library, Monday, September 22nd at 5:00 PM!
