Northern Lights
From here you can experience the Northern Lights dance across the evening sky with the lights from the city below. You don’t have to be standing in the cold outside waiting for the Aurora Borealis to appear. Inside the Lodge it is nice and warm, and you venture outside when the lights are at its strongest.
Ski-in / Ski-out
With the option of ski-in / ski-out the lodge is a perfect base for exploring fantastic off-piste skiing, hiking and cross-country skiing in the mountains surrounding Narvik. The opportunity to explore nature both summer and winter is right outside the front door. Snow shoes and toboggans are available, and hire can be arranged. For those who want to go off-piste skiing in winter or trekking in summer, tour guides can be provided.
Facilities
Narvik Mountain Lodge has 5 rooms with a total of 14 beds. 4 beds in the old storehouse, 4 in the annex and 6 beds in the main cabin. Bathroom with shower and toilet in the main cabin and the annex. Well equipped kitchen for 14 people in the main cabin. Washing machine, oven, refrigerator, pots and pans, utensils etc. Spacious living room in the main cabin with long table seating 12 people. There is also a screen to which you can connect. Large patio, with garden furniture and fireplace.
The main cabin is a Saltdals cabin from the county of Nordland, the annex and storehouse are Buen cabins from Bø in Telemark and are built with inspiration from old style buildings.
