She’s back with new music and ready to fill Norwegian stages with warmth, humor, and depth. In spring 2026, she will release the album Søraførr. The first taste from the album, Haill, is already out and shows how Maria blends humor, warmth, and raw life wisdom into a song for anyone who needs a friendly kick in the pants.

The music is created in collaboration with Tromsø brothers Espen Lind and Geir Hvitsten — three northerners who have all moved south but still carry the north in their hearts. Together, they’ve created songs that resonate with both the city girl and the true northerner.

The tour is built around the upcoming album and continues the Øyliv/Byliv project, offering a rich emotional range — from the tender and understated to the mischievous and life-affirming. On stage, Maria is joined by a group of outstanding musicians who together create a warm, playful, and intimate concert experience.

Inspired by singer-songwriters such as Terje Nilsen, Trygve Hoff, and Lars Bremnes, Maria tells stories of belonging, alienation, community, and longing — songs that resonate in both north and south, reminding us where we come from and who we are.
