Minor Majority // Vinterfestuka 2026

When Minor Majority take the stage in the Theatre Hall on Friday, March 20, it will be a joyful reunion with a band that Narvik has truly taken to its heart. Once again, they return to Narvik and Vinterfestuka—this time to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the album “Reasons to Hang Around.”

Minor Majority played in Narvik for the very first time in 2004, and since then they have returned several times to great enthusiasm. The evening in the Theatre Hall will therefore be both a reunion and a celebration—of the music, the memories, and the encounters that have followed them over two decades.

The concert will be divided into two parts: first, the entire album will be performed exactly as it was recorded in 2005—track by track—before the band continues with highlights from the rest of their career.

When “Reasons to Hang Around” was released in January 2006, it received glowing reviews, entered the VG chart straight at number two, and went gold. The album gave us classics such as “Let the Night Begin,” “Come Back to Me,” “Supergirl,” and “Alison”—songs that still touch the heart. And while Norwegian listeners embraced the record, Minor Majority simultaneously found a loyal audience beyond the country’s borders—proof that great Norwegian pop music crosses borders with ease.

Vocalist and songwriter Pål Angelskår puts it this way:

“Reasons to Hang Around is perhaps our best collection of songs and without a doubt our most far-reaching album. We’re grateful that our catalogue includes a popular record that can draw both old and new listeners into our universe, and that allows us to keep touring and playing concerts both at home and across Europe.”

Minor Majority have created magical moments in Narvik before—and we’re very much looking forward to experiencing them again. Perhaps there’s something about the combination of the northern Norwegian winter darkness, great songs, and genuine presence that makes Narvik and Minor Majority such a perfect match.
