Ord i Spor: Nowhere men
Helge Iberg interprets iconic Beatles songs with his distinctive blend of classical music and modern jazz, while Lars Saabye Christensen reads poems and literary texts specially crafted for the concert. The author also shares personal reflections from his own Beatles-inspired universe.
Saabye Christensen is one of Norway’s most respected authors, known for, among other works, the coming-of-age novel Beatles, which captures the cultural landscape of the second half of the 20th century. He has received the Nordic Council Literature Prize and numerous other awards, and is a member of the Norwegian Academy for Language and Literature.
Helge Iberg has a wide musical range and has collaborated with artists such as Bendik Hofseth, Sidsel Endresen, and Nils Petter Molvær. He has also published books and written essays and articles on culture and art, and has received awards including Prix Italia and the Spellemann Prize, as well as multiple nominations for the Edvard Prize.
Together, they offer a warm and atmospheric opening of Ord i Spor, marking the start of the literature festival at Vinterfestuka 2026.
