Nurse and author Linn Christine Nævdal will present her new poetry collection Sirkelsong in conversation with cultural consultant Julia Harbrecht.
Through poetry, reflections, and readings, the audience is invited into a universe exploring life’s deepest themes — love, memory, grief, loss, and what it means to be human.
In Sirkelsong, Linn Christine Nævdal takes readers on a poetic journey through the circles of life — from childhood and love to grief, loss, and dementia. The poems explore what happens when the memories that shape us gradually disappear, raising questions about identity, connection, and humanity.
Alongside the seriousness and sorrow, moments of humor, warmth, and wonder emerge throughout the collection. The poems were written during an intense creative period just before Christmas last year, inspired by the landscapes of Northern Norway, fleeting encounters, unexpected thoughts, memorable conversations, and experiences from everyday working life.
In 2020, Linn Christine Nævdal published her first book, Hev ditt blikk, and during the event she will read selected poems from both collections.
The new poetry collection Sirkelsong will be released in June and is available for pre-order.
The café will remain open until 5:00 PM, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy dinner, coffee, or light refreshments before the presentation begins.
