Description
The museum's main theme is industrial history: The construction of the Ofot Railway, the transport of ore on rails, the shipment of iron ore, and the city's development for more than a hundred years.
The museum is located in NSB's former administration building, a monumental brick building built in 1902, in scenic surroundings. From the museum and museum garden, visitors have a good view of the harbour, the loading facilities and large parts of the city.
