Aurora Hunt Loop – Chasing the Northern Lights
We start at Narvik Train Station and drive away from the city lights on a sightseeing loop through Arctic fjord and/or mountain landscapes. The tour lasts approximately 3–4 hours.
The tour takes you through scenic Arctic landscapes where you can feel the fresh Arctic breeze, while your guide shares stories about the Aurora, the surrounding nature and life in Northern Norway.
There is no fixed route – the loop is adapted to weather conditions, cloud cover and Aurora activity to give the best possible chance of seeing the Northern Lights.
We stop at carefully selected locations along the route where guests can enjoy the quiet surroundings, the crisp Arctic air and the dark winter sky.
Warm drinks and light snacks are served during the tour, and there is plenty of time for photos and enjoying the Arctic evening.
In some cases the Aurora hunt may take us across the border into Sweden if weather conditions require it. All guests must therefore bring a valid passport and ensure they have the necessary permission to enter Sweden. This is the responsibility of each guest. If a visit to Sweden is not desired, we can accommodate this if informed well in advance of departure.
This is a small-group experience with a maximum of 16 guests, ensuring a calm and personal atmosphere.
Arctic Loop AS is a fully licensed transport and experience provider with all required permits in place and extensive experience driving safely on Arctic winter roads.
The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and cannot be guaranteed, but we always do our best to find clear skies along the route.
